If you've bought too much to easily carry home, you'll want to use one of the international shipping companies located in Rome or other cities to ship your packages home. If you plan to make large purchases (like beautiful Italian furniture or antiques), it's useful to make arrangements with a shipping company before you leave home.

Companies with international shipping services in Italy:

Mail Boxes Etc., various locations in Rome and Florence
Mail Boxes Etc. can ship packages internationally as well as send and receive faxes while you're on the road.

Federal Express
We've used Fedex for shipping packages back from around the world. The service is fast (from some countries, ground/boat can take months) and they do a great job with fragile items. They'll provide boxes for you free of charge, and their agents are able to help you understand customs regulations for the destination country.

I have no relationship with the places or businesses I describe and created this site purely to inspire others to go get out and see the world! If you find this website useful, please add a link to it from your website or blog.
