Taormina, Sicily

High on a mountain side called Monte Tauro, Taormina has two grand dominating sweeping bays below.  It is Sicily's best-known resort.  We found out when we stayed at a hotel that used to be a nunnery.  The hotel was great, but the most spectacular thing about it wass the view from the terrace.  The background on this page is a picture I took from that terrace.  This was our first night on our Italian tour.  To say the least it was kicked off in a great city and spirit.  I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I remember the trip to Taormina.

These pictures show some good times and some bad times.  The first is with the tiny car Skyler was in love with and an upset Ariel (Can't quite remember why).  The second is of Ariel and Christopher in the city park.  The third picture is of the three children on the terrace of our hotel.

Skyler discovered this tiny green car that he fell in love with, simply for the fact that he was almost as tall as the car.
