Well, Halloween is over and we are all still alive and kicking.  We had a great time and the kids looked great.  The costumes we ended up with were a bit rusty, but for us (with no Wal-mart) I think we did great.  I am putting up a few pictures and there will be more to come.  I have some to develop.  Our greatest fun was bobbing for apples and incorporating our own version of Italian "Day of the Dead".  How you ask, we made up a story of someone getting hurt (FRED) and since we are in Italy we have to say good-bye today.  Only, the catch was the person was not whole and we had to say goodbye to the pieces that were left.  We had the kids blindfolded and inserted their hands in various bowls of parts of "Fred".  The brains(cold spaghetti) and maggots (wet rice) were the best, though I got a kick out of the eyeballs(peeled grapes).  I know a bit morbid, but we could not get a Haunted House together in time.   For the candy, trick or treat part, we had some friends stop by with giant bags of candy for everyone including Popcorn.  Then, we stopped at another friends, who dumped his entire stash of candy into their bags.  After that , we headed to the main Piazza and had McDonalds for dinner and watched a tower (still haven't figured out what that was all about).  There were a few kids that were dressed up, but not many and we got many looks.  For once, we all didn't seem to mind.  Over all we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves.
