nationality English. explanation behind picture There isn't one. This is because Matthew was simply a figment of Jess and Hannah's imagination. Make him out to look like whoever the hell you want. Just don't forget, his name's Matthew. pastimes Working in the space station Orion 3000 and trying to organise all the convicts (and pop stars) in their jobs. stress levels Extremely high. can he do everything? No. That would just be silly. did Jess and Hannah model him on anyone in particular? In a word, no. |

occupation TV chef branded the 'Naked Chef' and advertiser for Sainsbury's. past TV programmes The Naked Chef shot him to stardom and the help of a couple of cookery books, loads of Toploader songs, wacky camera angles and 'with it' words like "Pukka!" helped him become the nation's favourite chef (debatable). More recently he has done other shows like trying to feed school kids healthily and training up kids to run a restaurant (we think he likes kids). married? Yes. With kids (this may explain why he loves kids so much). interesting fact He started cooking when he was 8 apparently. That was all the research we could be bothered to do. |

He has a chunky arm bracelet thing (that looks a bit like a blood circulation band) that allows him to change his appearance to a slightly more human form, although, when changed, he still has two digit hands (as seen in picture) and has blue hair... where the hell does this guy come from? He's from the X-Men comics you IDIOTS!! Didn't you ever LIVE as a child?!! if you want to see him in action See the film 'X-Men 2'. Or, even better, read the comics, because they blow the film out of the water. |

American?! occupation He likes to think that he's a hero who is here to save the world, but actually he's just an actor. how he shot to fame He was probably in other credible movies but most people (including us) only remember him for playing James Bond. 007. You know, that guy who is a hero and is around to save the world in the action movies. does he have much of a role in The Book? Actually no. It's pretty p*ss poor. I don't think he even lasts longer than two pages. So why are we giving him a character profile? No idea. We were bored? has he appeared in any books before? No. And he probably won't be in any more to come. No offence, Pierce. explanation behind the picture Pierce Brosnan running for his life after bumping into Jess and Hannah on the Space station. nationality English. occupation Actor and Bentley collector. where have I seen him before? Probably Red Dwarf - that comedy series. Otherwise, maybe in some other English comedy TV programmes like The Brittas Empire? Also, more recently, he has gotten onto the big screen by appearing in both Tomb Raider and the sequel, The Cradle Of Life, appearing as Lara Croft's butler. does he make a good butler? Of course. He's very particular, very cleanly and last but not least, enjoys his work. why is he in The Book? Probably along the same lines as why Steve Coogan, Hobbits and X-Men character Nightcrawler appeared. (But that's just a guess, don't take our word for it...). interesting fact He has two chocolate coloured Labradors (if you're to believe the internet). how much does Jess love him? It was taken by a drunk man from Texas who, after having 10 pints at a nearby pub, started to drive home and after seeing a neon-green space ship float down on the road before him, decided it would be a good idea to take a picture to prove to his friends that he was telling the truth. Strangely no-one believed him. We're not sure why - completely believable story. |
