day job: Not a fictional character, Austin Powers lives on, and vibrantly baby. Groovy!! Austin is the leader of the S.S.S.S. (Secret Shagging Spy Service). He helps Jess and Hannah to go back in time and do loads of insane stuff. most used catchphrases: 'Groovy baby!' and, 'Yeah baby, yeah!' his favourite place on the island: He likes what Jess and Hannah have done with the place, but he has more important things to do with his time involving the S.S.S.S. and saying 'groovy baby!!' as many times and in as many sentences as possible. |

age: 19 day job: Working on the tills and stocking up shelves in HMV, Oxford in England. hobbies: He likes skateboarding, blading and listening to alternative music. could he be the next Jimmy?: No. his favourite place on the island: Quiet and indifferent to anything going on around him, Toby wanders aimlessly with no aim. |

age (in 1969 when he is picked up): 22 nationality: English day job: Actor in Croft-Perry sitcom 'Dad's Army' Later appeared in Butterflies, Casualty, Goodnight Sweetheart and, lately, Eastenders... but that isn't going to happen unless Jess and Hannah return him at the end of Book Two. Recently he was honoured with a 'This Is Your Life'. Jess enjoyed this very much. temperament: Let's face it - the poor lad has no idea what's going on. After finding two strange girls raiding Elstree Studios for old reels of his show, Ian didn't believe them when they said they'd travelled through time and decided to humour them. This backfired, and, unfortunately for him, he soon found himself 33 years in the future. Whoops... his favourite place on the island: Wherever Jess is. |

nationality: American day job: Actor. A selection of his movies: Pearl Harbor, The Faculty, Halloween H20, Othello, 40 Days 40 Nights, Black Hawk Down and Here On Earth. temperament: Quite frankly, he's just up for the ride. In the first book, Jess and Hannah used him for his money...well, Hannah mainly did. Confused as to why he agreed to tag along with Jess and Hannah in the first place, he makes another guest appearance in this sequel, but doesn't actually do that much... his favourite place on the island: He never got there. |

age: It doesn't really matter, all that's important is that he's a worldwide terrorist who Austin Powers is trying to catch...with the help of Jess and Hannah. nationality: Who cares...we certainly don't. Afghan? day job: Blowing things up and generally causing havoc. most embarrassing moment: Being turned by Austin Powers into a full grown man from a small baby in front of several famous celebrities - appearing naked with only a small baby blanket for hiding his shame. Unfortunately it wasn't large enough to hide his red face. his favourite place on the island: He never got there because Austin Powers was trying him for all that he would have done if given the chance (Jess and Hannah caught him when he was a baby remember...). |

age: 22 nationality: Australian day job: Well, in 'The Book' he flew commercial airliners, but in 'Book Two' he flies helicopters for the S.S.S.S. He willingly gives up his time and job as usual for Hannah's pleas to join them on the the island. temperament: Can get very obsessive and if somebody annoys him, he will hold a grudge for some time. He likes being in control of things and is very sincere, but completely insane. his favourite place on the island: The rainforest. It's quiet and secluded - just the sort of place where he can get a bit of self-inflicted solitary confinement. |

day job: Lead singer of rock band Incubus (who, according to something Zane Lowe said a while ago, are paid by teenage girls, but this is untrue...to an extent). nationality: American temperament: Is sure about most things including himself, but is a little sceptical about being taught to walk like a Nazi by Jess...but anyway, he gets on well with anyone and everyone (apart from Zane). Spends most of his time on Main Beach soaking up the sun and catching some surf. his favourite place on the island: The Main Beach and also looking round Little Llama records. He quite likes the Star Bar as well for a chilled out drink. |

age: 38 at the time this book was written (Jess thinks) addictions: Gambling and porn (but that one's a secret). nationality: English temperament: Generally quiet but gets inflamed quite easily (he should get a doctor to look at that). Forgets all else when gambling takes control. Encountered gambling problems in 'The Book' where he had to be restrained by Jess tying his hand to a beer plunger in the Wild Wild West, but apart from the gambling, he is a level-headed, sensible comedian...if there is such a thing. his favourite place on the island: We'll give you one guess...it begins with a 'C', ends with an 'O' and has 'ASIN' in the middle. That's right! The Llama Pen! |

martial status: Married. day job: Presenter of daily rock show 'Gonzo' on MTV2. Also does voiceovers for alternative music album's adverts on TV. Used to present on XFM radio but now does his own Radio One show. picture explanation: Zane looks very silly in the picture. He tends to wave his hands around a lot in a macho, over-the-top way quite often. nationality: New Zealand'ish...a Kiwi. temperament: His life is music and this is what he has in common with Hannah. He's on the island for a break, but he gets pulled into all the action when Hannah spots him. his favourite place on the island: Anywhere with atmosphere and music - the Little Llama Records acoustic bar. Also likes the Star Bar and The Jess-ter, unfortunately is banned from doing stand-up comedy here, since Jess doesn't like him. |

age: Jess thinks about early 30's, but she doesn't know. Who can tell with that hair? nationality: Irish day job: He makes people laugh. That's right! He's a politician! Check out 'Black Books', his TV show. temperament: Sarcastic and spookily persuasive: can make people jump off cliffs. Especially Hannah. Doesn't get on with Kelly very well - they keep arguing over the rugby. Puts up with listening to Jess' problems simply so that he can whinge about his afterwards. explanation behind picture: Dylan chills out in the Star Bar. his favourite place on the island: The cliff - so he can watch people saying "Yeah, yeah! You're right Dylan!" and then jump off. |

nationality: Welsh day job: Lead singer and guitarist for the band Stereophonics.temperament: Unfortunately, Jess and Hannah killed Kelly's two band mates Stuart and Richard in 'The Book'. So Kelly, rather depressed and shaken, heads for JessHannahtropolis, on Fran from Travis' advice, in the search for some peace and quiet. Poor b*st*rd. Instead he meets Jess and Hannah again, and an annoying Irish git (but he's not allowed to say that in front of Jess because she loves Dylan in a plutonic kind-of way). his favourite place on the island: Little Llama Records. |
