Life in The Eucharist Program On The Isthmus

A fairly new development in the life of today's Church is the admittance of children to receive the sacrament of Holy Eucharist before Confirmation. This a result of the Church's consideration of the of Baptism as the Sacrament that empowers the Christian to be admitted to Lord's Supper. Currently this can happen provided suitable instruction is provided.

Recently the Parish of Arnold's Cove and the Parish of Sunnyside of the Isthmus Ministry project provided training to families who were interested in the Life in The Eucharist Program. A highlight of the sessions was the coming together of families taking part for a meal and fellowship. Following the supper children taking part helped to make Eucharistic bread for their first Communion.

Dakota Warren and Riley Wareham are pictured helping make the bread and enthusiastically practising the placing of their hands to receive. The program has been a blessing to the families taking part and to the life of Isthmus Ministry.
