.
Im a third year university student in Ontario, Canada. I believe that I may very well be striving to specialize in psychology and major in english (yes, that is a bit of a crazy course overload....)...time will tell... ^_^

Painting/drawing is something I do in my spare time. While on the topic of spare time, allow me to tell you what else fills my hours - internet surfing and chatting (some would say Im an addict...), writing, reading, going out with friends, sleeping, eating, meditating from time to time, movie watching, phoning friends, shopping, going out to restaurants, daydreaming,  did I say eating already?

Ok....now, allow me to describe myself using my likes and dislikes, "Amelie" style (credit goes out to my friend who gave me this idea) (If you dont know what "Amelie" is, its a wonderful french comedy, now available on video.  If you didnt see it yet - you definitely should):

W e l c o m e, welcome!

Well, congratulations on  finding the page ABOUT ME! I guess since you accomplished this feat, you deserve some compensation for your clicking  ^_^

Continuing on with the list.... Oh! While speaking of LoTR, why dont I mention that the Fellowship of the Ring movie currently out on dvd and video is definitely worth seeing.  (As is the newest TWO TOWERS installment , still in theaters).  And while discussing the movie (and also the book), allow me to elaborate briefly on my current "obsession" with Elrond. (Im allowed a momentary swoon, arent I? ^_^)

wide worldwide web. Elrond is a fascinating albeit not very MAIN character in the books, and Hugo Weaving does an EXCELLENT job of portraying him in the movie *momentary swoon that I spoke of*
I may, in fact, devote a whole page to
Elrond in the future, just give me some time.

* Elves - yes, I like elves. (also see above)The Tolkien kind of elves, not the tiny green clad guys that help Santa.

*The Internet - yes, I did mention my addiction...particularly the abovementioned message board, and the one good thing that came out of Bill Gates' mind  - msn messenger (not perfect, by no means, but a useful tool at least - thats rare for microsoft)
MORE TO COME SOON - GONE TO SLEEP. I need to catch up on this favourite activity of mine :) CHECK BACK:)
* Animals - I've never been dissapointed in an animal (save for the feline beasts that claw at my poor hands at the animal clinic I work at, but they are excused, because theyre just defending themselves against injections, blood tests and other such pesky things), and I cant say the same for people. Animals are capable of loyalty and unconditional love that Ive rarely seen in the human realm (exception  mention goes out to my wonderful friends who embody these qualities)  In general, I think we have much to learn from animals, and we owe it to them to take care of them and their habitats by the virtue of us being self-appointed "masters" of this planet.....

* magic and fantasy - legends, myths, magical traditions, legendary creatures....

I DISLIKE :

* Dishonesty and violation of trust

* Calculus, Algebra, Chemistry... all things that require mathematical prowess and deal with the evil world of numbers.

*...computers.... I hate the evil machinery!!!!!!  (puts on fake smile - also see 2 points below....lol - pats computer on its side...) Ok, ok, I love computers but only for the wonderful communication opportunities they provide us with. I love the internet, IM, message boards and email. I also like making websites. Other computer functions drive me nuts.... and I really wish Bill Gates and his company finally got their act together and stopped making things with so many bugs!!!!!!!!!!

* vinegar. The smell drives me crazy. I dont think theres anything I dislike more in the taste/smell category.

* fakeness. Fake politeness, fake political correctness, anything fake. I think that putting in the extra effort to keep up facades is really pointless. Blunt but truthful is the way to go.  Also see point # 1.

* in general, keeping things in... be they thoughts or emotions. Very infuriating, frustrating and anguish provoking.

Now, for a little digression.....
For all those who were ever curious about the origins of my hotmail address ..... lol....
BEHOLD,
I hereby present you with a spiny anteater!!!!!!!

Isnt it cuuuuuute?
* Food - shall I list my favourites? Why not you say, alright. Avocados, Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream, california rolls, miso soup, mango nectar, good red wine, cheeses of all sorts, mangoes, bacon, caviar spread, red currants, strawberries, chocolate...... Come come, at least look at the greatest miracle known to humankind (and promptly rush to the store to get it...)

EXPERIENCE THE JOY

* Tolkien - The Professor was a great man.  I read the Trilogy and am 3/4 of the way through the Silmarillion. My obsession with Tolkien began 3 years ago. While on this topic, allow me to include a link to a wonderful site that has had a great impact on my life recently...The site is tolkienonline.com (TORC for friends), and Im especially referring to the wonderful message board there. If you like to submerge yourself in a community of kind, intelligent, witty, and sweet people, I suggest you give it a click, a lurk, and maybe eventually even a join.
