~Ryss's Llanon Tail~
This was a nice room, Ryss decided. The bed was comfy, it had a nice view, and it didn't even cost anything. He yawned as he rolled off the bed and padded his way over to the window in his bare feet, leaning on the sill. Outside the birds sang cheerfully and the sun was burning off the last of the morning mist and dew. A perfect spring morning. There had to be some catch, some form of payment they expected, but he'd most likely be gone before he found out what it was. He wouldn't need to stay here much longer, now that he knew which of the Chosen he had come looking for.
He'd been pretty lucky to find someone here who hated the Chosen... or at least Eran. It made things much easier. He'd found out exactly what he wanted to know, and now he didn't have to suck up to get people to talk or have to sneak around, looking for clues as to what had happened. He still needed to find out some things though, like how Grey and Eran had been seperated, and how they had mangaged to be in almost identical bodies. He'd never heard of that happening before.
He got dressed and walked out, glancing over at Eran's door across the hall from his. Eran.... he almost laughed. It had been so easy. Neither of the Chosen had suspected anything - it was a wonder they hadn't been taken earlier. Maybe they just thought they were safe here, like everyone else. Nobody even thought anything was strange about him.
There was something on Eran's door. He paused, looking closer. A dark brown streak - he'd seen enough blood in his life to know what it was. He wondered idly how it had gotten there. He brushed his fingers over it lightly. It was dry, perhaps a day old at the most. Not the Chosen's blood though. He would have been able to tell.
He pushed the door open slightly, making sure to be silent, and peered in. Eran was lying asleep on the bed with his wings folded, his back to Ryss. He smiled. This was unexpected. There was someone lying next to him on the bed - Aza, if he remembered right. One of those fox people. It might be his blood on the door. Aza must be very special to Eran, Ryss thought to himself. They'd been together the first night he'd met them. They might even be lovers. He smiled to himself. That could be useful information.
He saw the fox shift in his sleep and silently pulled the door shut again. It wouldn't be of any use to see Ryss peeking in on them while they slept. He made a mental note to himself to find out more about kitsune as he headed toward the stairs.
Yes.... There was still much for him to learn about this place.
