~Piper Maru

Looks: Petite, tiny, light, pixie-like, scrawny…no matter how you say it, it’s essentially the same thing, she makes Kate Moss look like a tub. Her loose-fitting (not by choice) shimmery attire; big, pupil-less, icy blue eyes; cheerful grin; and pixie-like, wispy, blonde hair are often offset by the cigarette that almost constantly adorns one hand. She has a sort of unique beauty that’s not found anywhere else, because she’s only half human. The other half is a race from a different planet, known as Chadara. It’s not just the lack of pupils that give her away, either. She’s also got a nice set of fairy wings sprouting from her back.

Smarts: It’s not very easy to get one by Piper. She’s very clever, and she’s almost always thinking. She tends to notice every little thing people say, and she’s always well aware when something doesn’t add up perfectly. She’s pretty good at figuring things out, and she makes an excellent doctor for someone her age, who has a fear of needles and doesn’t even know the names of 90% of the instruments and medicines she uses. She can be a little bit hotheaded at times, though, and this can throw off her judgement just a little.

Personality: A first impression might find her coming off as a bit bubbly, but if you talk to her for a bit, and hear some of the language and bluntness she uses, you’ll find out that it’s just raw, outgoing friendliness. Almost like a need to make friends with every person she meets. She can be a little insensitive at times, because, despite what she may say, she doesn’t fully understand the concept of love, and just what people will do for it. But, even though she has a certain emotional coldness about her, she’s always willing to help people out with anything she possibly can, and she tends to have a take-charge attitude about it. Good qualities in a doctor.

Home Economics: As far as taking care of people goes, Piper’s an ace. She usually knows just what to do, and her light demeanor usually eases people’s nervousness, even when the things she has to say aren’t all that comforting. She doesn’t really care about doing much of anything other than working in her makeshift clinics, though, so you’re better off just taking care of the cooking and cleaning.

Fighting Skills: She’s really good at slipping out of someone’s grasp and running away, but she couldn’t fight if her life depended on it. She’s not a violent person by nature, and doesn’t particularly like the idea of hurting anyone, be it in self-defense or not.

Special Abilities: A little bit of flight…she’s kind of more like Tuxedo Kamen, where she can hop around and get really high or even float a little, if she needs to. She “flits” for lack of a better word. She also has a little bit of psychic ability that she doesn’t really know about.

Competition: Piper has a bit of a thing for Sobel, who in turn, has a thing for her. He may not put up a big fight about it, but he should be taken into consideration. She’s also gained a newfound love for Sami, but she’s smart enough to see when she has no chance at something.

In-Laws: She has a human father and a Chadaran mother that both live on Grouchoon. You may never have to meet them, but if she ever is legally allowed back there, you really will want to meet them. They’re wonderful people.

Economics: If you could persuade Piper to go to medical school and get a degree and everything, she could be a doctor, and then you’d be raking in the cash. She would get really bored with medical school, though, because it would be taking everything she already knows, making it really primitive (for her), and giving it fancy names. She might just do it if it meant something to someone she loves, though.

Sex: The first penis she’s seen since a frightening/invigorating experience a long time ago with Lai Li and Varuka, was Kveld’s. And that’s only because he forgets his clothes all the time. In other words, she’s pretty horny. She doesn’t get laid as often as she’d like. And having sex with someone who’s really horny, especially if they’re female, can be a very fun thing.

Overall: Piper would make an enjoyable partner. If you’re particularly needy, she may not do the best job of satisfying that, but she has an air of comfort about her, and just being around her may be enough to bring up your mood, should you need it. She may not be too keen on marriage right away, but she really is open, right now. She hasn’t seen Sobel in ever so long, and someone needs to make her stop thinking of Sami.
