Call for Papers: International Workshop on Asian Transnational Families

The Asian MetaCentre (at Asia Research Institute) and the Department of
Geography are organising an International Workshop on Asian Transnational
Families on 02 - 04 February 2005. This meeting is held in association with
the Asia Pacific Migration Research Network (APMRN) and the International
Geographical Union (IGU) Commission on Population and Vulnerability. Paper
presentations will be held over two days on the 2nd and 3rd February 2005,
while the 3rd day (4th February 2005) will be reserved for business and planning purposes.
 
We would like to invite paper submissions from colleagues in ARI and FASS
(the invitation for participation as observers only will be issued nearer
the date of the workshop). Full details on the scope and themes of the
workshop are available on the MetaCentre website <http://www.populationasia.org/Events.htm>. A list of papers which 
have been accepted for presentation thus far is also available on the same site.
Registration fees will be waived for all paper presenters.

Indication of interest / title or topic of paper: 15 October 2004
Abstract of about 500 words: 15 November 2004
Full paper of 6,000-8,000 words: 14 January 2004
