Request for the next international
ISSCO conference in 2007 was received from Professor Zhou Nanjing at
Peking University. Wang Ling Chi is proceeding to Beijing to finalize
the matter with Zhou Nanjing after the Copenhagen conference. No other
proposals had been received. There was a proposal that ISSCO maybe able
to piggyback with the Hua-yi Net conference on libraries and documentary
sources to be held in Singapore next year, 2005. An interest was
expressed to hold a regional conference in Africa 2006. Karen Harris of
Africa emailed the Board that she is still interested in being active in
ISSCO and is considering the possibility of hosting one ISSCO conference
there.
