This one's a no brainer! Best band I ever played with! There sound and performance was nothing less than perfect. The light show alone was awe inspiring! They're a pretty quiet band backstage as well. These guys, however, already have two MTV videos and are signed under Universal Records. You kind of expect a great performance. Their following was pathetic! I mean... more people showed up to see ISS rather than Mushroomhead. Of course they didn't adverise because it was a last minute show before Ozzfest. They're really cool in person. Overall A- Very tight and very impressive!
Freakshow scared the shit out of me! I never expected an opening act to put so much pressure on me! Most bands I play with have that typical vibe going. These guys were animals! Tight, energetic, and smooth! Transistions were perfect, songs were PRO, and they're out touring across the country! Every single song was significantly different from the last! Melodies were inspiring and dual vocals were NEVER out of key or off tempo! These guys sound like nothing you've ever heard of before! One show and you'll be hooked! This is a band that is similar to At The Drive In but much better! Any band looking for awesome exposure should tour with these guys! Every single song received dramatic crowd response. Overall A- The most perfect underground band I've ever heard!
Ransom is a band with an open mind! These guys seemed so optomistic about everything. Not the most charismatic band but very tight. Transistions weren't impressive but the music was good. Certain songs I didn't care for but for the ones I did like... MAN they had a killer groove to! The drummer's tone was muy bien! Most songs were a bit too long. If these guys moved more on stage and hid their errors better, they could pawn themselves as PROs. Overall B A radio friendly hard rock act with a seductive groove. These guys even opened for Disturbed just recently!!! Moving, and fast!
This is the coolest band out there for me! Epsilon is what I call our brother band. These guys have been playing shows with us for over a year now. These guys are the epitome of grind core. Energy and high tempo compose their sound. The drummer's phenominal attack approach will impress you with intricacy while driving your head into a cement floor! The guitar work is super orignal material. Fast paced guitar chords mixed with the complexity of devastating squeel effects and bending notation. These guys are heading places and fast! They're all over the local circuit, especially the school district. Overall B+ These guys express talent way beyond their years!
These guys are sick! Twisted multi-media intros that will freak you out and draw in the suspense. What's gonna happen? Who are these guys? I'm telling you, these guys play complex shit! And they do it with ease and passion. I've been playing with these guys for about a year now and every show is WOW! These guys are easy to pitt to and the light show adds to their precision. Their style is more of a death metal sound with deep blasting vocals. I mean I picture this guy killin Iraqi soldiers with vocal power alone. Keith, the singer, is swinging his mic every show to back you up cuz he's gonna suck fome shat up! I swear he's gonna burn a hole in the Ozone! The guitars are almost always dual amped (BIG sound) and their bassist is the sickest of them all! He's a demon reincarnate. A very possessed front man! It's such a shame he's no longer with this project due to more noble causes but his energy will never be forgotten where I go. As soon as this band finds a replacement... it's all over for Philly. These guys'll be tearin it up! Overall B Anyone willing to play heavy metal bass guitar, please contact me.
