With a Draw to the Draw

Great match in Greece where Maccabi Haifa secure a UEFA cup place after a 3-3 drew against the home team Olympiakos.
Haifa should have win the game but mistakes in the end of the game gave Olympiakos 2 goals. Haifa know that they could loss 2-0 and still qualify to the UEFA cup.


Praljia with Karembu and Giannakopolos

Only 9 minutes was enough to secure the first goal. Ruso Passed to Badir who scored easely.
The second goal came a minute later thanks to bad defending by the Greeks. Yakobo ran well from the half court and against the Greek keeper smashed it in.

After the two goals Olympiakos started to run to score. Alexandris missed a good chance against Awate in the 25th minute after a great pass by Karembu. The same Alexandris headed a nice ball to the bar.
In the 36th minute Jorgevic passed a great ball to Alexandris that was free against Awate and burst the ball into the net, 1-2. It seemed like the Greeks are back.
But in the 41st minute came the goal that killed the game, Harazi passed a wonderful ball on 30 meters to Katan who stood against the keeper and kicked in from 16 meters.
In the second half Olympiakos fight to get their honor back. Haifa went down to a banker.
In the 51st minute Niniadis' shot from 20 meters went on goal, 2-3 to Haifa.
Atntsas made it 3-3 in the 80th minute after a great header from 3 meters thanks to good corner.
So Haifa's dream in the Champions League ended with a draw and 7 points. We will see her back in the UEFA cup.
