The 5th element
from Amir Ragporker

5.9.2002,
It wasn’t the best practice match that Israel could have but they won and that’s all that meters. Israel collects another win on Luxembourg 5-0 it ended.

Simonsen the Luxembourg coach seems worried.

Eyal Berkovic played a great match and tried to find his friends with depth crosses. Eyal really looked a player that is one level above all the others. In the second half Eyal was off and then Idan Tal played well. The entrance of Yossi Benayoun gave Israel a push and he scored. But Israel enjoyed very weak defense of Luxembourg and ran them over. Also the keeper Gillet played like he doesn’t know what football is.

Israel start was like a dream and after 25 seconds Israel took the lead. Odi scored easily after a great ball from Eyal Berkovic for 30 meters, 1-0 to Israel.
Israel kept going and Keissi had good chance but somehow waste it.
In the 24th minute, Afek ran with the ball into the box and then crossed it to Badir that from 12 meter found the net, 2-0 to Israel.
In the 33rd minute Pidomeniko stroke the ball from 25 meters but Shtrauber vanish to the left and pushed the ball to a corner.
At the end of the half time I can say it wasn’t a good game by Israel but the score line is 2-0 to Israel.
Afek had a wonderful chance in the 53rd minute after Afek was one on one against Gillet but the Israeli stroke badly.
In the 68th minute Idan Tal crossed the ball and Kfir Odi made it 3-0 to Israel with a header.
In the 74th minute Zandberg had great run on the baseline and then passed to Tal in the middle, Tal stroke the ball but it went near the ba.
In the 77th minute a player from Luxembourg found the crossbar.
In the 79th minute the 4th came, after Bahar crossed, the Luxembourg keeper push the ball badly and Keissi found the net freely.
2 minutes later Afek found the crossbar with a fine strike from 25 meters.
In the 85th minute Israel scored again. Biton ran in the right side and then crossed to Benayoun who finish it in the net, easily.

5-0 it ended, Israel will not take too much from this game, but a nice win.
