Ashdod can score
28.9.2002,
Hapoel Tel Aviv first home game wasn’t a big game yet they gained 3 precious
points against improving MS Ashdod. Hapoel now can see the entire league up from
the top with 6 points from 6.

Alisha Levi knows that his team should have
scored
Hapoel Tel Aviv didn’t play good but the 3 points is like air to breathed because they know that the missing game of Maccabi Haifa will be automatic 3 points for the green team. This 1-0 win although it came in an own goal by Sharon Amar it is very good win. Hapoel Tel Aviv again played good in the first half but in the second half Ashdod played better and deserve to score but couldn’t.
Hapoel played good from the start but her first opportunity came in
the 24th minute after Balili's header from 5 meters went near the
bar. One minute later Balili missed again from 10 meters.
In the 37th minute Afek lifted the ball into the box from the left
side to Balili, but Sharon Amar, Ashdod's left back, got the ball before him and
headed the ball straight into his own net, 1-0 to Hapoel Tel Aviv.
The second half was Ashdod's, 3 minutes in the second half Pishont former Hapoel
Tel Aviv player stroke a good ball from 16 meter but Rahmin jumped and pushed it
to a corner kick. Later Ohayon and Boyar missed good chances.
Hapoel Tel Aviv can be pleased with the win but they need to play in the second
half while Ashdod's players will have to be more brave then they are now in
order to win against the big teams like Hapoel.
Dror Kashtan(Hapoel Tel Aviv's coach): "Our chances in the first half should brought us more goals. We have to be more consternated in front of goal. We need to fix our problems and keep winning".
Elisha Levi(Ashdod's coach): "we controlled the second half absolutely because of attacking subs, but if we can't score we can't win the points".
