Round up Israel day 1(13-14.5.2002)

Maccabi Tel Aviv 4 you
Maccabi Tel Aviv played at home against Maccabi Petach Tikva. Maccabi Tel Aviv is the cup holders so there is a lot of exceptions of them. Maccabi Petach Tikva is the black horse of Maccabi Tel Aviv, they always steal points of them. Tel Aviv started badly, after Tal Ben Haim the center back was sent of in the 33rd minute after elbowing Kobi Refoa. But 2 minutes later all the fans where up, after Reoven "the spider" Oved smash a wonderful goal. He shot the ball from 25 meter near the ba and flat, 0-1 for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Maccabi Tel Aviv started the second half well after Baroch Dego scored the 2nd goal for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Eli Biton made it 3-0 after a wonderful pass by Baroch Dego in the 78th minute. Maccabi Petach Tikva didn’t set down and run to score after Kobi Refoa found Omer Golan that netted the first goal in Maccabi Petach Tikva's season in the 79th minute. One minute to the gong came the last goal of Tel Aviv and it was the best goal. Rodrigo Goldberg the Chilean ran with the ball and from 20 meter he lifted the ball above Sagi Shtraos the Maccabi Petach Tikva goalkeeper, 4-1 to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Kobi Refoa made it 4-2 in the stoppage time with a penalty kick after he was brought down in the box. Maccabi Tel Aviv start good with 4-2 win against Maccabi Petach Tikva.

One good half in enough
Maccabi Tel Aviv's town rival Hapoel Tel Aviv seek for out win at Petach Tikva, no not Maccabi, Hapoel Petach Tikva. Hapoel Tel Aviv started quite well with a goal in the first minute by the Hungarian Gabor Holmay. In the 29th minute came the goal of the week, Pini "the hair" Balili kicked the ball marvelously from 30 meters and found the net, what a goal, 2-0 Tel Aviv. Soon it became 3-0, Afek pasted 2 defenders, and passed into the box, Abuksis opened his legs and the ball went to Tuama that kicked it in. 3-0 to Hapoel Tel Aviv in the half. Hapoel Tel Aviv went to sleep in the second half and Petach Tikva used it to get 2 goal back. In the 53rd minute Dovrovin found the crossbar and the ball went to Yossi Rozen that headed it to the net. 2 minutes later 3-2, Dovrovin passed a great ball to Rozen that from 10 meter blasted the ball into the net. Petach Tikva wanted to score but Hapoel Tel Aviv defended well, 3-2 it ended. Yossi Rozen said at the end: "thanks for the few who came to cheer and I would be glad to see them next week. Those who came just to curse I have a suggestion- it is still warm, go to the beach instead of coming to our stadium". "Aman" to that.

One for you and one for me

In Ashdod we saw two unsettled teams. Ashdod played good in the first half while BNYI Yehouda were better in the second. In the 36th minute Regbar found Revivo and the younger brother of Haim Revivo slammed the ball home from 16 meters. BNYI Yehouda started the second half very well, Gafni found the crossbar in the start and minute later in the 51st minute, Manor Hasan scored after Shirazi's pass. Near the end Foentes stroke another ball that found the bar. Roni Gafni from BNYI Yehouda was sent off in the 81st minute but 1-1 it ended. David Revivo at the end: "the teams should be satisfied. I scored nice goal shame it wasn’t enough to win".

Nagar Hajaj (celebrate in Hebrew) goal

Irony Rishon Lezion accommodate Hapoel Beer Sheva with a lot of squad problems. But in spite of all the youngsters in the team they went on the scoreboard first. In the 3rd minute Shei Holtzman uplift a nice ball from the box to the other end and Haim Hajaj headed the ball into the net from 5 meters. From that goal we saw only Hapoel Beer Sheva Taholski missed twice and Abu Laben couldn’t hit the mark also. In the 35th minute Abu Laben lifted a free kick, Kako headed good but Ben Hamo turn away the all to Nagar that headed from near angle, 1-1. Beer Sheva's Taholski kept missing and in the other end Hajaj couldn’t score again, 1-1 it ended.
Nice first week in Israel, 22 goals in 6 matches, see you all next week.
