People in Israel say that Bietar Jerusalem is the team of our (Israel) state. Well I have to doubt it because the yellow and black team maybe has fanatic fans but they are also walking with arrogant all the time. They think Bietar Jerusalem is the only team in the world and everybody else can die.

Some people like myself hate politicians who take advantage of football as a court for some political moves. Bietar Jerusalem has too many politicians who come to their games and take advantage of Bietar Jerusalem's fans. Some of Bietar Jerusalem's players become legends in the Israeli football. Eli Ohana is maybe the biggest star of the team from the Israeli capital city. Ohana that now train BNYI Yehouda moved from Bietar to Mechlen from Belgium and took a historic Cup winners cup with the anonymous team. But the famous Israeli never played at a big team in Europe. So he came back to Israel to Bietar Jerusalem when they were at the second division. With Ohana Bietar glimpsed and went to the first division and also took Championship! Ronen Harazi was also a big figure of this Championship. Another big star who resied at Bietar Jerusalem is Ori Malmilian. Malmilian was always be remembered because his heroic and powerful shots. Another names that Bietar Jerusalem gave to Israeli football are Yossi Mizrahi, Jecob Shevartz and Avi Cohen.
Nowadays Eli Cohen took charge of the team. Last year was a disaster after Bietar Jerusalem almost dropped to the second division. Yossi Mizrahi started the season as a coach, but bietar suffered from a lot of economic problems. They started the season late because of the situation but thanks to their influence in the political side they didn’t suffer any punishment like former teams did. Just this year the same thing happened to Hakoh Ramat Gan but the Israeli federation of football dropped them two.

Cohen's goalkeepers are Itzhak Kornfain and Golan Malol. Itzhak Kornfain is a great keeper that once considered the best in Israel.
At the back there are some now name coming on. It is a shame that Alon Avramovic the great center back broke his leg and will be sidelined all season long. Ehod Kahila and Soze Frira the new Brazilian will replace him. Golan Hermon will be their backup player. In the sides we can find some international players. David Amsalem former Crystal Palace player is one of them. David isn't the good player he used to be but still he has a lot of talent. At the right plays Ofer Talker. The Israeli can also play at midfield. Talker took champion with his former team Hapoel Haifa. Itan Mizrahi is a good player also and it seems like he is in Bietar for ages. Golan Deri is another fine player that can play both sides, like new sign Miki Atia that came from Maccabi Kriat-Gat. Late sign of Bietar is Ehod Kahila, former player of the team, he plays at center back.
In the midfield we can find another Brazilian Del-Rio a new figure at Bietar Jerusalem. It seems like he can smash some nice goals. The real smasher on the team is Itzhak Zohar. Zohar is a wonderful player who could have been more successful if he wasn’t such a playboy. His career started at Maccabi Tel Aviv where he took the Championship. From Maccabi Tel Aviv he spent a year in Antverpen up in Belgium. After a lonely year he went back to Maccabi Tel Aviv. After taking both Championship and Cup he moved to Bietar Jerusalem for the first time and took another Championship. After a year he snake to the Premiership playing in Crystal Palace. Half year later he went to Maccabi Haifa. From Haifa he moved to Herzelia and then took off to Natanya. In the middle of last year Zohar came back to Bietar. Zohar is a master of free kicks and seem to love god very much. Jan Talasnikov former Dandy United player is also good player. He will play at defensive midfield role. Transfer of the summer belongs to Kfir Edri. Edri plays at left attacking midfield. Ziv Kavda might be a surprise man this year and get more minutes. Other players are young that hope to get game time: Nir Hazot, Alon Cohen, Eli Sason, Aviram Brohian and Shlomi Moshe.
Anji Kobika is the biggest force in Bietar's offensive thoughts. Kobika is former Maccabi Tel Aviv player that made a lot of scandals among the years he was in Israel. The talented yet young Elad Yakobi is a backup for the Polish striker. Moshe Biton who came from Kriat-Gat is another new name at Jerusalem.

So this is the team that would want the Dror Kashtan, Eli Ohana and Ronen Harazi successful years back. Can Eli Cohen deliver after he snubbed by his former teams, Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Petach Tikva? I guess time will tall. But with players like Zohar and Kobika Bietar Jerusalem should at least be in the first 4.

Expectations: Champions and Israeli cup or UEFA cup spot for next year.
Reality: 4^th place and will be out of the cup in the second or 3^rd round. Maybe the toto cup will go to Bietar.
Player to watch: Elad Yakobi: this kid supposed to be the new Ohana but was benched by his coaches, this year has to be his breakthrough year because Bietar Jerusalem don’t have too many strikers in their squad.
Possible starting 11: Itzhak Kornfain; Miki Atia, Ehod Kahila, Soze Frira, David Amsalem; Ofer Talker, Jan Talasnikov, Del-Rio, Itzhak Zohar, Kfir Edri; Anji Kobika.
