On China and Israel...

On an airplane headed for Baltimore, a Chinese person sat down next to a Jew wearing a yarmulka (Skull cap).

Unaware that he was being observed, the Jew continued to read from his Talmud. At one point he noticed the man staring at him, and asked: "Can I help you?"

Are you Jew?

Uneasy about such questions, the Jew responded hesitantly: "Yes, I'm Jewish".

"You from Israel? Israel very big nation!"

The Jew smiled, and responded politely: "Actually, it's very small", and then drew a map of Israel and its neighbors for the Chinese diplomat, to show him the proportions of Israel. The Chinese man was shocked.

"Such small country - such big news! From paper sound like Israel super power!"

based upon a true account.
