Many a times we neglect the friends who care for us most, unconsciously Many a times this happens because they are the, silent supporters They are not the ones who tell you how good you look in that dress They are not the ones who think that you are just a smart kid in school They are the ones who know how many dresses you changed before you put that dress on They are the ones who know how much you want the grades and how hard you work for them Many a times you think they don't care Many a times you think they don't understand you When they don't ask you out, its because they know that you are not the kind that go out for fun When they don't tell you their plans, it's because they know your schedules so well, they know you are occupied. When you come across new friends When you come across people who you think can be your great friends Don't forget those silent supporters and pursue the new "dream friends" After all you still don't know how the new friends feel about you Why jump into an abyss? When you know there is a place full of flowers and trees Its understandable that you might forget the care and understanding those silent supporters can bring It�s forgivable that you want to get on with the new part of your life Only when you are low, only when you are sad Only when one of these many old friends come along and say something so true to your heart, it awakens that refreshing sense of understanding and love between both of you, relieves you immediately of your agony and anguish, surprise you on how much this person actually knows you inside, will you remember and always treasure the old. Silent supporters don't always talk to you on the net, They don't message you on the phone everyday, Many don't even call for ages. But once they heard you are in trouble, Once they know you are in need, They appear like bees to honey, Swarming around you with that comfortable familiar buzz, warming you heart up. They know you inside out because they have been in your class for a few years, They know you outside in because they have sat beside you through and fro on the bus to school everyday, They know your everything because they have seen you cry and seen you hysterical They know all your bad habits because they accompanied you to recess everyday Most importantly you know each other so well because you have been through so much together. Sports day, interclass cheerleading, making decorations for new year, saboeing people on their birthdays, exams.. And so much more. It�s ok if the relationship with your new friends do not work out, It�s ok if you just can't seem to get your new friends to like you as much as your old friends did, It�s only because they don't understand you like your old friends do... And whatever it is. You will always have your old friends silently supporting you... |
