Welcome to the T5 rules page of Excite Gor.
The purpose of this text is to teach you T5 the way that is accepted by Excite
Gor. T5 is very easy to learn but very hard to master. There always will be
someone that is better than you. These rules cover both fights and captures.
The rules will evolve over time. They provide, however, a common framework
together with consistency and a means whereby individual fights or captures can
be reviewed for validity.
1. The first post should have the said target and state intent (what you are
going to do, e.g maim, kill or capture)
IE: Looks at (Name) with intent to kill drawing my sword
2. The second post should not have a damaging post
3. The third post is the first post which can be a damaging post
4. Only one defensive or one offensive move may be made per post
5. Each post must be a minimum of 5 or more words and only one action per post
6. There must be a minimum of 3 posts for an escape
7. A person can not aim a firing weapon and say where it hits in one post
IE: "Aims and fires hitting heart" is incorrect
8. Posts must have continuity both in terms of your own actions and your
opponent
IE: "strikes side with sword cutting deep" needs to be reacted to, not ignored
9. The Death post can not be made until at least the 5th post
An example of a legitimate kill
1. Looks at Mir with intent to kill drawing sword
2. Rushes in towards the Warrior quickly
3. Swings the blade at his chest
4. Slices into his chest deeply cutting his lungs
5. Watches Mir die in a pool of blood
An example of poor/illegal combat:
1. draws blade
2. swings at chest
3. cuts into lungs
4. watches him die
An example on how to avoid actions by others:
1. ducks down to the ground
2. swings sword at his legs
Now these are just basic rules of T5 Combat for Excite Gor. And there may
be some who disagree with the rules but they are what is accepted for now.
You still need to read the pages for each place because all places might not
have the same
fighting style. Some have adopted skills based, for instance.
Finally, as Goreans we must adapt no matter what.
