| The Issue: Arafat | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Arizona Republic May 12, 2002 "Your Voices" QUESTION: Should the Israelis be forced to negotiate with Arafat? Israel should not be forced to negotiate with Yasser Arafat or any other Palestinian leader. Without exception, the Palestinians' "negotiations" have been nothing more than political ploys that give them time to regroup their forces for more terrorist attacks. If Israel is to survive it must act toward its terrorist adversaries as we have - fight back until the terrorism ends. In the meantime, the Western world must stop forcing Israel to give in and appeasing the terrorist Palestinians, who consistently act in bad faith and whose word is known to be worthless. |
