[Author’s 2003 Note: These were originally footnotes. However, it seemed simpler to put these few
notes into an “endnotes” page here, instead.]
1. The Second Amendment reads, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
2. A right we have already noted does not
exist as such, according to judicial interpretation of the Second Amendment.
3. An interesting idea, considering that the
United Nations was more or less a failure with its UNPROFOR (United Nations
Protection Force) “peacekeeping force” in Bosnia-Herzegovina. If they can’t even succeed at such a paltry
mission as that, how in the word could they invade anything except perhaps
their own bathrooms?
