| During my second year on Abemama, I moved to Takatia and was fortunate to learn Te Mwaie, I-Kiribati dance. I was given my own dancing mat, and the belt which is made from human hair. When I left Abemama, I was also given the head, arm and hand decorations, all made of traditional natural materials. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Besides the traditional dances, I-Kiribati people love to "twist" to more popular music... | |||||||||||||||||||
