Course Description & Objectives: This course is designed for students to be able to take notes during oral presentations and summarize contents; to demonstrate analytical listening skills such as distinguishing fact from opinion and making inferences; to speak with intelligible pronunciation, stress and intonation.  Prerequisite: COM1301 Listening & Pronunciation III or equivalent proficiency.

        

Amount of work required outside of class:

Approximately 2 hours of work outside of class required for every class hour

 

Evaluation Method:

Class participation & assignments 50%, quizzes 10% & tests 40%

 

Attendance Policy:

Students who have more than 4 absences will receive a failing grade for the course.
