Here I paste an interview, she is new in Islam.., she said SHAHADA on 1st of
July 2001
» Why you choose Islam as your Religion?
I am really thankful to GOD, coz since came into this World, I found myself
very much close into Religious studies. Maybe the best reason is my parents
and my uncle JOHN, who holds an important distinguished position in a
Church.
It was back to 2and half year ago, one day when I was in Church then one of
my friend said to me that Muslims also believe in Prophet Jesus(a.s.). I
have no idea that its true or not, I just go straight to Uncle John and ask
them about it, he said "Yes, but Muslims believe he(Jesus) is just a
Messenger".
So, this was the start to take interest in Islam. In that time I just plan
to read it, coz for gain the knowledge. After all Jesus(a.s.) is a famous
personality in Christianity, this was make me excited to know that, What is
Muslim's belief? What they think about Jesus(a.s.)?
» What are the things which attract you to study Islam?
As I said earlier that, I study is coz for Jesus(a.s.). Beside it the
prayers, SALAH (Namaz), DOA(Pray), the way of communication, the veil, the
virgin, the nature, an attitude, Belief in all the Prophets, a way they live
around the world, etc. alot of thing, never easy to discride in words.
» How is your feeling since enter in Islam?
Offcourse great, after all Islam is the only way to get so much close to
GOD. Only one thing which will make me sad is that my parents left me since
enter in Islam.
» What is your parents' reaction to convert in Islam?
Hmm, they said you left Islam or us. I was 18'year old, they told me that
you still need a time to understand the truth. Even beside my parents there
was my uncle(JOHN), told me that Islam is also the right Religion to follow
but away to reality.
» What about ALLAH?
One of the most attracting thing in Islam, is to believe in only one GOD. In
Christianity, GOD is divided into 3 parts, as well as in Jews. But Islam is
the Religion where we Worship for only one and true GOD(ALLAH).
» What is your thought about Prophet MOHAMMAD(s.a.w.)?
See, Prophet Jesus(a.s.) had some special qualities, same as Prophet Moses,
Abraham, Ismael(may ALLAH Blessin' on them) had their own qualities, but
when we discuss a qualities of Prophet Muhammed(s.a.w.) then its a
combination of every single quality of each Prophet, or in other word its
kinda like one-man-show.
» Do you pray 5 times daily? Do you pray in Arabic? (asked by AHMAD)
No, I have a some problems here. I'm doing a job, and during that period
it's hard to make a time for pray. But Insha'Allah, I will try my best to
perform each and every pray in a time.
Yes, I pray in Original language of Ku'ran. when I was newly convert into
Islam, then I learn the translation, but now I store 3 Surah in my mind :-)
and Insha'Allah I will learn more time by time.
Let me share one thing, I ask this question to many Muslims here and via
chatting that, in Pray(salah) we use Ku'ranic language, do you know the
meaning of each verse? lots of peoples said `No'. One good thing in a new
Muslim is that, we first learn the meaning then follow the original one. so
I prefer to you peoples that you must learn the meaning of each verse.
» How we convence other to read Islam? you are new in Islam, then you know
it better? (asked by SABA)
I don't know exactly how? But see, if you live around non-Muslims then you
must show them respect. keep good things up, show them how good you are in
Religious studies. One of the good advantage as a Muslim is that, we read in
Islam about Prophet Moses(a.s.) and Jesus(a.s.) and their Religion indeed.
If you interested to listen to them then I'm sure that they are also
interested to listen to you, its' a general thing. I'm also used the same
logic here, even my roommate is also interested to read Islam. You know why?
coz for the behavior. Remember `Respect' is the only thing which change
whole the image.
» Anything to say?
Yes, I am really thankful to sister Aisha and Fatimah, who help me to
improve my SALAH and other Islamic stuff. And mostly thankful to you(Riz),
to introduced us in a diffecult circumtances. I really never ever forget my
past, when my parents, and relatives left me then its JULIA, who come
forward to help me. She is a Christian girl and she knows that I convert
into Islam but I never forget this sentance which she said, "Who cares".
If GOD give me an option in a day of Judgment that, to choose who beside you
in the HEAVAN? then my request is JULIA, truly. and Riz thanks for your help
too, may ALLAH Blessin' on You!.
» Any Message?
Yep, My message to Muslims and non-Muslims is that, ISLAM was also the
religion of messengers of God like Noah(Nuh), Abraham(Ibrahim),
Ishmael(Ismail), Issac(Ishaq), Jacob(Ya'qub), Joseph(Yousuf), Job(Ayyub),
Moses(Mosa), David(Da'wud), Solomon(Sulaiman) and Jesus(Isa) (p.b.u.t.). The
essence of their message was the same, believe and obey the One true God and
obey His messengers. Means ISLAM is just like a TREE and the other Religions
is the roots, so we must take care of them and try to make conditions better
for everyone, live peace, love peace. We are in Family.
And, my only request is to you peoples that must Pray for me that I am again
hang around with my parents, they left me when I enter in Islam.
