The people will soon summon others to attack Muslims, like eating people who invite others to share their food. This is a prediction of the Prophet sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam about Muslims. They will be weak towards the end of the world, and other nations will make an onslaught on them. They will be like a dish in which the people put their hands from all sides to eat. This is exactly the present situation of the Muslims.

Thawban reported that the Prophet, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam said: "The People will soon summon one another to attack you as people when eating invite others to share their dish. Someone asked: Will that be because of our small numbers at that time? He replied: No, you will be numerous at that time: but you will be scum and rubbish like that carried down by a torrent, and Allah will take fear of you from the breasts of your enemy and cast Wahn in your hearts. Someone asked: What is Wahn? The Prophet sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam replied: Love of the world and hatred of death." (Related by Imam Ahmad with strong chains of narrators, and Abu Dawud).

Love of this world, gaining wealth, sexual desires and dislike of death are the main factors why nations are summoning one another to attack Muslims. In history, there have been several occasions like this. At time, Crusaders intended to overpower Muslims during the Crusades. Allah sent down His Grace and Help to Salahuddin al Ayyubi who defeated the Crusaders and freed the Bait ul Madis Mosque. On another occasion, the Tatars attacked Muslims and Arabs, but Arabs were triumphant against the Tatars' deceptions. A third important instance was when the Jews and Christians collaborated to end the Ottoman Caliphate. And the final evidence is the endeavour of the Jews and international Zionist lobbies to create a homeland for Jews in Palestine. By the Grace and Help of Allah, Muslims will overcome this crisis, in shaa' Allah.
