The Distresser, The One who makes harm reach to whomever He willed and benefit to whomever He willed. Allah, The Creator of all, puts us in various situations some times to test us, some other times to push us to change a bad habit, and some other times to remove - during this life - the sins we have done so we do not get punished for those in the afterlife. Allah, The Distresser, distresses people with poverty, sickness, the loss of a dear person, the loss of a part or ability of the body, a bad ruler, occupation, etc etc... if a person was patient he gets in return what an eye has never seen, an ear has never heard, and a heart has never imagined, paradise. However, if a person was not patient, lost hope and did not have faith in Allah, he will get in return a strong headache, a tired soul, no sleep, and a stressed and pesimistic character.

Know it is Allah who distresses us whatever your problem is, and it is only Allah - exalted be He - who removes this stress and puts instead happiness and satisfaction in your heart. Remember Allah during the day and the night, when everybody is sleeping and you're awake, and all are dreaming and you are working to gain Allah's love. Contemplate and dive in the ocean of signs that Allah has spread around you, the birds and the trees, the stars in the sky, the wind, the mountains, rivers and lakes, clouds and rain, sand, and even in yourselves look in your abilities, all that is a creation of Allah.

The most beautiful thanks are due to Allah and peace and blessings be upon prophet Muhammad, sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. May Allah, The Distresser, make us capable of comprehending and accepting the fact that only He can harm us and only He removes this harm when He wishes. May Allah make us able to face stress, harm, and however strongly a problem hits, with a smiling face and a satisfied soul.
