The Preventer, The Withholder, The One who prevents whatever He wishes from whomever He wishes. This beautiful name reflects multiple meanings; Allah prevents sustenance from a person if He wishes, He may prevent support to a person if He wishes, and if Allah wishes He prevents harm from His creation. If Allah prevents something from us there is nothing and nobody that would grant it to us. On the other hand, if Allah granted us something, there is nothing and nobody that would prevent it from us.

Know that there is no god but Allah, there is no creator but Allah, and there is no preventer but Allah. If you needed support ask none but Allah, for no one is capable of helping you if Allah decides otherwise, and know that no one is capable of harming you if Allah wishes to help you.
