The Last, The One whose Existence is without an end. Allah's existence - exalted be He - has no limits neither in time nor in space nor in anything our mind can describe. This beautiful name continues the meaning of the previous name of Allah, The First. Allah - our Creator - has created us to be mortal, i.e. to have a finite life, that begins and ends at the times that Allah wishes. When we pass away, our existence on earth vanishes. Our wealth vanishes, our education vanishes, our senses vanish, and we vanish and leave our beloved ones on earth. Allah - exalted be He - has no end like He has no beginning. We all die, and Allah stays, He is The Ever Living.

May Allah, The Last, The Ever Living, forgive us the many faults we have done and cover us with His ever wide mercy. May He gather us with the people we love in this life and in the hereafter.
