The Self-Existing One, The One who remains and does not end. Allah is The Creator of the universe and The Giver of Sustenance, He knows and controls everything all by Himself. This beautiful name reflects this great attribute of Allah who exists by Himself and needs no partner, exalted be He, created us and is taking care of all creatures and controlling everything by Himself. This great name indicates the power of Allah, who maintains everything and needs no help or support. Each and every one of us were born from a father and a mother, even the strongest men and the richest kings were once babies who could eat by themselves and could not drink if not for their parents or someone else who helped them eat. Allah has no son nor was He given birth to, exalted be He, who has started creation and has the ultimate power.
