The Bestower of Honors, The Honorer, He gives esteem to whomever He willes, hence there is no one to degrade Him; and He degrades whomever He willes, hence there is no one to give Him esteem. Allah, The Honorer, grants honor to whomever He wills and humiliates whomever He wills. In arabic, "al-'Izza" means power, strength, and success and reflects the meaning of this beautiful name of Allah, He who grants success to those who love Him, even if they are poor, and raises those who do good deeds, even if they are a burdened slaves.
