Words of Welcome

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Rahiim.

Alhamdu lillahi robbil'alamin, wa bihi nasta'in, washsholatu wassalamu 'ala asyrofil mursalin, sayyidina Muhammad wa alihi washahbihi wattabi'ina lahum ila yaumiddin.

Assalaamu 'Alaikum w.w.

I give thanks to Allah (SWT [Most High]) for giving me the opportunity and resources to construct this website dedicated to Islam. I am completing my Degree in Computer Science, majoring in Networking. Moreover, I am hoping to expand my knowledge in the world finance.

This website is intended to provide basic, but accurate, knowledge of Islam for both Muslims and non-Muslims. Every point that I make is taken from my own knowledge and from various Islamic texts. I will attempt to make every aspect as simple and concise as possible in order to provide an easy introduction for those readers who are new students of the religion.

It is the responsibility of every member of the Muslim community (Ummah) to undertake a study of the religion and to pass on this learning to others. Every person on the face of this planet is the same in the eyes of Allah Most High. But those who acquire knowledge of the religion have the best possible position at the side of Allah Most High.

The Quran says:
Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge. And Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do. [58:11]

Islam is the religion of this world and the world to come. Islam was brought down to provide guidance for people as to how to achieve happiness in this life and in the hereafter. Islam lays great importance on the unity of mankind; those who can sleep peacefully with a full belly while their neighbour goes hungry and weak can never be called a true Muslim.

In all truth the unity of the Islamic community is absolutely vital in order to re-establish the greatness and radiance of Islam and its believers. Therefore it is the responsibility of all Muslims to make an effort in all aspects of Islamic learning, especially at the present time. Every individual needs to have a positive and open outlook, and be able to accept opinions from all sides – whether they be Muslim or not, no matter what perspective they come form (Sunni, Syiah, etc.)

The Quran says:
O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. [49:13]

In this life, to achieve success in this world and the next we must see the goodness in other people and recognize our own negative characteristics. Through that we can better ourselves and rise to the highest level of attainment within Islam. It is correct that people recognize that as time has passed the religious knowledge of those who profess to be ‘Muslims’ is very weak indeed.

Since the time of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW – peace be upon him) passing the divisions within the Islamic community have become very obvious – and the level of respect within the community for the central beliefs and message of the religion has become weak and diluted. Therefore we must together strive (Jihad) to raise the standard of Islamic practice and derive lessons from the mistakes of the past. From these we will find guidance toward a proper approach for the future. “History is the greatest teacher.”

Many messengers have been sent by Allah Most High to guide mankind along the proper path, but still mankind became diverted. Finally the chief messenger was sent. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) the last messenger to help humanity. Following that the miracle that would last for eternity (Al Q’uran) was delivered by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and along with it the lesson that it was best for us to study it, and adhere to its teachings.

The Quran says:
This is the Book; In it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who Fear God. [2:2]

Life presents two roads. The first appears to provide happiness and satisfaction but ultimately presents a dead-end. The other route, on the other hand, involves many challenges – but the end is one of light and peace.

Whatever course of action you choose will produce consequences, either now or later. Every individual is governed by his or her faith. The life you lead in this world is but temporary, whereas the hereafter is for eternity. It is up to the individual which route they will choose, that of success or the road to failure.

It is written of the Prophet (peace be upon him) that:
Monday, 29th Safar 11 A.H. The Prophet (saw – peace be upon him) entered the mosque head-banded, sat on the pulpit and spoke to the people gathered around him. He said that the number of believers would increase but the Supporters would decrease until they would be like salt in the food.

Ultimately, let us pray to Allah Most High and hope to become true Muslims. It is our responsibility to emulate those messengers sent to us by Allah Most High. On this temporary plane, the Q’uran and the Hadith are our guides to a proper life. It is a requirement that one adheres to the principles of Islam in order to call oneself a Muslim; only through this can one be assured of happiness in this life and the hereafter. Rather than being a slave to worldly concerns alone, it is better that one achieves harmony between the lessons of Islam and the life one leads. For this Allah Most High will reward us, not only with peace in this life, but forevermore.

I hope that you will find the greatest value in the information contained here. I am not only providing a reminder to my readers, but also to myself, so that our knowledge might become firmer and more complete – hopefully we will be deserving of the blessings of Allah Most High. Finally, I ask for your forgiveness should there be any inaccuracies contained here. From Allah Most High I pray for divine assistance, guidance and mercy without end, so that we might achieve peace and happiness in this life and the hereafter.

The Quran says:
Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, but whatever evil befalls you, is from yourself... [4:79]

Wallahu Waliyut-Taufiq, Wassalamu 'Alaikum w.w.
