When a friend greets you and wishes upon you wellness and goodness, you can not help but feel a certain bond of brotherhood, a sense that all of humanity is tied together in a knot of one hundred billion men and women who have lived on this planet since the dawn of mankind.
     Look up at the night sky. Millions of stars span a seemingly unending space. As humanity we must realize that every man lives under that one sky. Every Christian, every Jew, every Buddhist, every Hindu, Sikh, Coptic, undecided or unknown, every Martin Luther or Martin Luther King,
and every prophet was a person. In Islam everyone is born pure, sinless, and is considered equal to his brother or sister. Our prophet said, "You are not better than people with red or black skins unless you excel them in piety. (Transmitted by Ahmed)" Let us treat our friends as though they are our true brothers and sisters.
     Whether we are enlightened by religion or not, it is only after we experience life in this world that we begin to have darkness in our hearts, and exhibit harshness towards one another for our differences. However, the good deed that you selflessly do for a person, one of your brothers and sisters in humanity, will be worth more than a thousand words spoken. Our prophet has said, "A Muslim is a Muslim's brother: he does not abuse him or abandon him. If anyone cares for his brother's needs, Allah will care for his needs; if anyone removes his brother's anxiety, Allah will remove his anxiety on the Day of Judgment; and if anyone hides a Muslim's weaknesses, Allah will hide his secrets on the Day of Judgment.
