Ingredients & Directions

  1. Brown hamburger or chicken breast meat use as much as you need, depending on how many you're feeding.

  2. Use 1 can, or 2, again depending on the number of people, of chick peas, do not drain, put in a pot on med-high to high heat. Add fresh garlic, to taste. Use a bottle to smash the chick peas while cooking.

  3. Squeeze 1 whole lemon into pot, or more depending on how much you like lemon!

  4. Use flat bread, microwave it until it is hard. Break it apart into small bite size pieces. Put this in a large serving bowl/dish.

  5. Brown, in a lot, I mean a lot, of butter, slivered almonds. Chick peas should be ready now, pour over the bread pieces.

  6. Use half of a large container of plain yogurt, mixed with just a little water, pour this over the chick pea mixture.

  7. Then pour the meat over top, and last, pour the browned almonds on top of that, drizzling the butter.
