Meat Potato Curry

Ingredients

1 lb beef, cubed
1 tablespoon oil
½ teaspoon garlic
½ teaspoon ginger
1½ teaspoon coriander
1½ teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon turmeric
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 cup onions, chopped
3 cardamoms
3 cinnamon sticks
1 bay leaf
2 medium sized potatoes, cubed
salt as needed



Directions

In a saucepan heat oil and fry onions until light brown. Add all spices except for cardamom, cinnamon and bay leaf. Fry for about 4 minutes with 2 tablespoons water. Add the meat and fry for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add potatoes and enough water to cover meat. Cook until meat is boiled, then remove from heat.
