Abbu Ummah al Bahili quoted Allahs messenger Salalalahoaleyhewasalum as saying:
"Recite the Quran, for on the Day of Resurrection it will serve as an intercessor for its readers. Recite the two blooming surahs, al-Baqarah and al-Imran, for on the Day of Resurrection they will come as two clouds, as two sun beams, or as two flights of wide-winged birds defending their readers. Recite the surah al-Baqarah, because reading it is a blessing, leaving it is a misfortune, and is is too hard for sorcerers." [Muslim]
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger of Allah, Salalalahoaleyhewasalum said, 'Allah said, 'Every action of the son of Adam is for him except fasting, for that is soley for Me. I give the reward for it." [Muslim]
