In The name of Allah the Compassionate
the Merciful
Hamza
The writing of the hamza differs
according to it`s position in the word, if it was in the beginning ,middle or
end of the word.
Let`s start with the beginning
of the word :
1- In the beginning of the word , it is
always written over or below the Alif , for instance :
2-in the middle of the word ; it
has 4 shapes :
the shape of the writing of the
Hamza at the middle of the word depends on the vowel marks at the Hamza &
the letter that precedes it .
so the Hamza is written according
to the priority of the vowel mark (whither this vowel mark is on the Hamza or
the letter that precedes it), the following are the sequence of the priorities
of the vowel marks:
1-
Kasrah (
) in
this case the hamza is written on the chair

,
2-Dammah
(
) in
this case the Hamza is written over the Waaw
3-Fat-ha
(
) in
this case the Hamza is written over the Alif
There`s an exception regarding
this rule , when there`s an Alif or Waaw or Ya before the Hamza we deal with
it this way :
If you have noticed that we write
the Hamza over the line when Alif or waaw precedes it , but when Ya precedes
it we write it on the chair.
But when there`s a kasrah over
the Hamza we write it this way :
These exceptions are only when
Alif, waaw, or Yaa precedes the Hamza.
3- when the Hamza is at the end
of the word :
here it only depends on the
letter that precedes the Hamza :
1-
when Kasrah is beneath the letter that precedes the Hamza we put the
Hamza over the chair
2-
when Dammah precedes the Hamza, we put the Hamza over the Waaw
3-when
Fat-ha precedes the Hamza , we put the Hamza over the Alif
4-when Sukoon precedes the
Hamza, we put the Hamza on the line :
