As you may note in the
second Example the “Al” is used in both the noun & the adjective , the
reason is because the object is reminded to the listeners by mentioning it`s
characteristic (being big in this example) , so we used “Al” in both the
noun & the adjective.
Also you may note that
the noun comes before the adjective on the contrary of English where the
adjective precedes the noun.
P.S. : in English when
there`s an indefinite object , it is referred to it by the article “a” ,
for instance :
A
little boy.
In Arabic there`s no
such thing, there`s no article is used in this case :
