AMAZING THAILAND In advance, thanks for dropping by my site. I hope you will be able to get an idea from the pics on what's been happening here with me. It would be great to see friends visiting me there. As you might notice, it has a chat room and message board for members to use. Hoping you and the rest of the UP guys will find it useful. You can use it freely as you will.
Well, an update on myself. Honestly, I don't know where to begin. . .
I've been living in Bangkok for over 10 years now. I changed my Filipino citizenship to Thai 5 years ago, mainly because (as you know) my mom's Thai. It's nothing that I'm a traitor or anything. :-) Currently, I'm living alone, as my brother Aylwin (who works for Nokia) is now based in Finland. My mom, on the other hand, lives in Kanchanaburi, west of Bangkok, a province near to the border of Myanmar. She comes down and visits me once a month. Basically, the same frequency that my house gets cleaned.
Well, you'll see Tong in my website. I guess I wouldn't be living alone for long. We plan to get married sometime in November next year. I met her in the first day of my MBA class and we've been together ever since - for almost 5 years now. It was one of God's confirmation to me that she's the one, when she decided to give up her Buddhist belief and turn to Christianity. Not because of me, of course.
Speaking of Christianity, I became a born-again Christian 6 years ago. My life has changed dramatically since then. One blessing after another came into my life. Struggles and problems set in as well, but I am so overwhelmed with the goodness and faithfulness God has shown me all these years. My testimony can be very long, so I'll save it for later.
Career-wise, I'm now working for ActMedia Thailand, an in-store advertising media. By April 1, I will be running the company's new function - New Product Development. I expect new exciting things to happen, so I pray that things will indeed come that way.
Unfortunately, I can not attend the reunion on April 3. Is it confirmed by the way? My plan to visit Philippines would most likely be on December this year. Hoping I will see most of you guys by then.
This is enough for now. Will keep you updated on any interesting things happening here in the Land of Smiles.
Regards and God Bless,
Peter Cal
