Black Belt Style Kicking Drills

Red Belt:
Warm-Up
  1. In to Out Crescent Kick, 2 steps, In to Out Crescent Kick
  2. Out to In Crescent Kick, 2 steps, Out to In Crescent Kick
  3. Round House Kick Hop and Pivot (also called Rolling Round House Kick)
  4. Side Kick, 2 Steps, Side Kick
  5. Spin Side Kick (drop in front), 2 Steps, Spin Side Kick
  6. Back Foot Hook Kick (drop in front), 2 Steps, Back Foot Hook Kick
  7. Spin Hook Kick (drop behind), 3 Steps, Spin Hook Kick
  8. Sliding Back Fist Punch (to the side), 3 Steps, Sliding Back Fist Punch
  9. Cover Punch (Slide while blocking with the back hand and punching with the front at the same time. )
Red Belt:
Attacking Drills
  1. Knee Kick (Hop and Pivot Fake)
  2. Round House Kick by the Zig Zag (Sport Style Round House)
  3. Fast Kick (Sliding Round House Kick), Switch in Place, Fast Kick
  4. Round House, Round House, Turning Round House
  5. Sliding Front Foot Fake (check), drop, Round House Kick
  6. Sliding Front to Back Double Kick (Up Tan-Sang)
  7. Back to Front Double Kick, Switch Stance, Back to Front Double Kick (Dwi Tan-Sang)
  8. Sliding Front Foot Fake (check), drop, Spin Side Kick
  9. Sliding Front Foot Fake, Jump Spin Side Kick
  10. Knee Kick, Knee Kick, High Round House Kick
  11. Knee Kick, Knee Kick, Out to In Crescent
  12. Round House (drop in front), Switch Stance, Round House (drop in front)
  13. Any Combination of Kicks

Counter Attacking Drills
Moving Backwards:
  1. Round House Kick by Zig Zag Step
  2. Hop Back, Hop Back and Switch Step Round House Kick with the Front, Step Back
  3. Hop Back, Hop Back and Switch Step, Drop Kick with the Front, Step Back
  4. Hop Back, Hop Back and Double Kick Back to Front (Dwi Tang-Sang)
  5. Hop Back, Hop Back and Jump Spin Side
  6. Hop Back, Switch Stance and Jump Spin Side, Step Back
  7. Hop Back, Hop to the Outside at a 45 Degree Angle in a Switch Step, Round House Kick with Front Leg
  8. Hop Back, Hop to the Inside at a 45 Degree Angle, and Round House Kick
  9. Hop Back, Hop to the Inside at a 45 Degree Angle, and Out to In Crescent or Ax Kick
  10. Hop Back, Hop Back and Punch with the Back Hand Kick, Round House Kick with the Back Leg
  11. And Combination of Kicks Moving Backwards
Foot Work or Jit Gi:
Forward while Bouncing:
  1. Hop Forward
  2. Step Forward
  3. Step Forward Two Times (Like Running)
  4. Step Forward, Step 90 Degrees with Back Leg
  5. Sliding Front Foot Fake (drop) and Fast Step Forward
  6. Step Forward and Step Back
Backward while Bouncing:
  1. Hop Back
  2. Step Back
  3. Step Back Twice (Like Running)
  4. Step Back, Step 90 Degrees
1st Dan Dec Black:
Zig-Zag Target Drills
  1. Back Leg Roundhouse Kick, same leg Round House
  2. Back Leg Roundhouse kick
  3. Sliding roundhouse, back foot roundhouse kick
  4. Sliding roundhouse kick. (Fast Kick)
  5. Double Kick (Tang-Sang), Back to Front
  6. Double Kick (Tang-Sang), Front to Back
  7. Front foot step back, same foot roundhouse kick.
  8. Hop back, back foot roundhouse.
  9. Hop back front foot roundhouse kick. (Fast Kick)
  10. Round House kick, drop to front & pull back, roundhouse kick
  11. Jump spin sidekick
  12. Switch stance, jump spin sidekick.
  13. Slide forward, back fist punch.
2nd Dan Rec Black:
Trio Drill
Two people hold 1 or 2 targets on each side
  1. Turning roundhouse.
  2. Roundhouse, drop to front, turnaround, one step forward roundhouse kick.
  3. Double Kick (Tang-Sang), Back to Front.
  4. Step forward spin hook kick, turn around, step forward and spin hook kick.
  5. Step forward spin side kick, turn around, step forward spin sidekick.
Moving target ,drill
(Target holder moves backward and forward)

2nd Dan Dec Black Belt:
Hogu Drills, Attacking

  1. Round House Kick Back Leg
  2. Sliding Front Foot Fake, Drop, Back Leg Round House
  3. Fast Kick
  4. Double Kick-Front to Back (Up Tan-Sang)
  5. Double Kick-Back to Front (Dwi Tang-Sang)
  6. Sliding Front Foot Drop Kick
  7. Back Foot Drop Kick
  8. Tornado Round House Kick
  9. Sliding Front Foot Fake, Jump Spin Side
Backwards: From Closed, Attacker Steps Forward
  1. Counter Round House Kick
  2. Double Kick Back to Front
  3. Spin Back Kick
  4. Cover Punch (Attacker now Kicks)
Shuttle Drills
Kicking together at the same time with partner
  1. One leg up, other leg kick
  2. Just one leg kicking while turning with partner.
