| One of the beautiful things about Japan is the simple fact that when I hop on my bike and ride around for a couple of minutes, scenes like this are commonplace. Even in Niigata City (pop. 500,000), you can see traditionally-styled buildings right in the downtown area, among the modern stores and apartments. | |||||||||||||||
