Peace with God
In Isaiah 59:1-2, God says, "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

This chapter is devoted to defining and exposing the sins of the people of Israel. Isaiah reminds the people that God has not lost His power to save them. God both hears and understands their need for deliverance and has the capability within Him to provide that deliverance.

Because of Israel's sinful life style and their perverted directions, Isaiah reminds Israel that they are suffering the consequences of their sin.

When a person has done right in the eyesight of God, you can be confident, that whatever you ask of God in Jesus name, he will answer. It is according to our faith that he will answer our prayers. Like wise, if we continue to sin against God he will hide his face from us.

We think sometimes that God has not heard our prayers. God always hear our prayers. He sometimes does not answer them, because of our sin. Our sins have cut us off from God. He has turned away and will not listen anymore. The Lord is not to weak to save us, and he is not deaf. He can hear you when you call.

Most of us have felt discouragement at some point in our life. When discouragement continues, depression results, and we become mired in dejection. But sometimes just the presence of a friend who is willing to listen can lift us up. God is such a friend, and he is always willing to listen when we call out to him. All we have to do is have faith when we pray. God told us he would never leave us or forsake us. If we stand on God's word, trust and believe, he will hear and answer our prayers. Because of Jesus, we will receive God's mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it.

We can never predict how we will respond in a crisis, and there is no certainty how God may step in to change the course of events. Therefore, given these two facts, we plow on in hope, defeating despair with our faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. That is all God ask of us is to have faith the size of a mustard seed, and he will answer from heaven.
