Quote of the Week Archive
3/5/2006 - It helped that every time he came to bat, Kirby Puckett would execute the Sign of the Cross. My hero was Catholic too! I was Catholic. My friends were Catholic. My TEAM was Catholic. (Turns out my mother is Lutheran). The fact remained, this was a Minnesota team, playing baseball, which I played, showing outward Catholicism. Definitely the good guys. - Ryan from The Catholic Minnesota Twins and Ryan, A Brief History
2/5/2006 - Growing up in a Raiders household, I learned to not like the Steelers at a young age. I'm pretty much impartial to them now, and I like Ben Roetheslseibegeraeraegeerber a lot, but something inside of me kind of wants to see them go down because if they go all the way after a 15-1 season, they'll be placed in the sacred realm of greatest teams of all time, and I just don't think they belong there - Steve from NFL Playoff Time...woo hoo?
1/22/2006 - Mike is a %#$@ idiot! Seriously, I met his father once. Mountain gorilla - Ryan "quoting" Daunte Culpepper from A Night Out
1/15/2006 - I kind of want to see what Luda would do with “Proud Mary”. Don’t tell me he wouldn’t want to rap about rollin’ on a river. - Ryan from Is It Sports? Mailbag
1/8/2006 - Joe Johnson in a mask makes Rip in his mask look like Fabio - A.J. from Notes on the Conference Finals
12/18/2005 - I'm waiting for a game where Frerotte scores a TD, bangs his head on the wall again, gets knocked out but the force of the blow knocks a padding panel off the wall, revealing a hollowed out area containing Ricky's stash - Steve on the Dolphins season from Is It Sports? 2005 NFL Preview
12/11/2005 - The NHL can learn a lot from the Indy 500. No, I’m not telling them to start putting smoking hot women in pads (although I wouldn’t mind body checking Danica Patrick, if you know what I mean) - Ryan from The Junk #1
12/4/2005 - I see the Padres finishing around .500 this year, realizing they will never be a playoff team - Kevin's surprising half-prediction from Is It Sports? 2005 Baseball Preview
11/27/2005 - Jermaine Dye. I've always been a fan of his since his days in Kansas City, and I think this was a good signing and the fans should warm up to him very fast considering his history of hot starts. He also promised on ESPN Radio 1000 that he will take the Sox to a championship, which is pretty bold since we're talking about a team that hasn't won a title since 1917 or even a pennant since 1959. At least he's positive, unlike his fan base - Steve from OzzieBall 2005
