The Dark Archetype is a compendium of rituals, spells, mythology, and folklore focusing on the dark side of deity. In this book the magick and mysteries of goddesses such as Kali, Hekate, Oya and Lilith, and gods such as Set, Loki, Dionysos and Shiva are explored and revealed. The authors present practical and powerful ways of working with these and other �dark archetypes� based upon field-tested ritual work done within Isian, Wiccan and Neo-Pagan groups.

Denise Dumars, M.A., teaches college English. Her articles for the pagan community have appeared in such publications as Fate, SageWoman, Llewellyn�s Magical Almanac and The Teen Witch Datebook. A former film journalist, she is also a widely published author of pagan articles, books, short fiction and poetry. An eclectic Isian and Neo-Pagan, Denise has long been part of the Los Angeles occult scene and is a priestess in the Isian tradition.
Lori Nyx, M.A., is a scholar and an artist whose long-time study of ancient art, myth, and culture has informed her spiritual path and magickal workings. She is a maker of jewelry, talismans, incense, and brews. A pagan of eclectic tastes, she is a devotee of Kali, an Erisian and a priestess in the Isian tradition.
Denise and Lori are the co-founders of the Iseum of Isis Paedusis, a study group chartered by the Fellowship of Isis. They both reside in Los Angeles� beautiful South Bay area.
