Meeting of Light and Dark
Introduction Dinah followed behind the five beautiful princesses, and the handsome Prince Darien as they were lead to the banquet hall by Fiore. The blonde one with pigtails was latched onto his arm. She quietly followed listening to the girls chatter along. They all stopped at the entrance. �Princess Serenity and the court of the Moon Kingdom!� A man announced to the hall. Everyone stared in awe of her poise and beauty. �Princess Serenity, Welcome to my kingdom.� Queen Beryl said rising from her seat at the table. �Allow me to introduce my 4 son. From youngest to eldest is Jedite�� as she said his name a tall, handsome, young man with short blond hair and eyes a light shade of green stood and bowed gracefully. Rei�s eyes burned for him as all the other girls giggled. ��Neflyte�� A man with long brown hair flowing freely over his shoulders, stood up and bowed gracefully. �Wow! He looks like my ex-courtier, that hair, those eyes�� Lita babbled on. ��Zoicite�� A beautiful man stood up, his long blonde wavy hair, pulled back into a ponytail. His feminine features were delicate and smooth. A glint of mischief showed in his dark jade eyes as he smiled. Mina was overwhelmed by his beauty and would not allow anyone else to have him. As far as she was concerned, he was for her. ��and my eldest Malachite.� As she said this the tall one with platinum blonde hair stood up. He looked over each girl thoughtfully with his ice blue eyes before bowing as gracefully as his brothers before him, and then sat down. �It is a pleasure and an honor to be here, Queen Beryl. I shall introduce my court. Princess Rei of Mars.� as she said this, a tall young lady with long raven locks, that flowed over her long red gown stepped forward and curtsied demurely. As she lifted her head, her violet eyes locked into a fiery gaze with Jedite�s cool green orbs. A smile curved her lips as she rose and retreated behind her princess. �Princess Ami of Mercury.� A cute girl with exotically short blue hair stepped forward, she smiled politely, watching everyone with her bright blue eyes. Quickly grabbing the folds of her beautiful blue gown, she curtsied gracefully, before retreating behind Serenity. �Princess Mina of Venus.� Mina took her time stepping forward. She curtsied beautifully letting her long blonde hair spill over her shoulder almost covering half of her orange gown, and stopping just a whisper from the ground. Unlike Rei�s hair, hers was restricted by a red bow that held half of it up. Slowly lifting her head, she locked her eyes with the beautiful Zoicite. He could see the predatory undertone, and smirked a bit. Satisfied, with his reaction she stepped back into her place. �Princess Lita of Jupiter.� The tallest of all five, stepped forward. Her legs long and well-toned were visible through the slits of her dark green gown. She curtsied, not as graceful as the other three, but graceful, her long brown hair sliding over her bare shoulders, was held up in a ponytail. She looked up at Neflyte with a flirtatious glint in her dark green eyes, before rising and returning to her place behind Serenity. ��and the gentleman?� Queen Beryl asked hurriedly, seeing that Serenity had deemed herself finished. �This is my stepbrother, Prince Darien of Earth.� He stepped forward and bowed, then returned to Serenity�s side. Fiore proceeded to lead them to their seats. Queen Beryl sat on one end of the table, as Serenity sat on the other. The four sons on one side, the princess on the other. Almost immediately Ami and Malachite began to argue about Intra-Galactic politics, and policies. It appeared neither would back down. �Ami!� Serenity snapped. �Malachite.� Queen Beryl said in unison. �Forgive me, mother.� Malachite said nodding in recognition to her, before turning his attentions back to the Mercurian Princess. �Perhaps we should take this discussion outside.� Ami looked at Serenity questioningly. She nodded in reply. Turning her attention back to Malachite who was already making his way around the table, she gave everyone an apologetic look. �Excuse me.� She stood and felt the chair move from beneath her. Not expecting this, she fell backwards only to land in Malachite�s arms. She felt blood rush to her cheeks, and cleared her throat. �Shall we go now?� She said slowly stepping back and lifting up her skirts and heading for the door. A firm yet gentle hand gripped her arm. �It�s this way, princess.� �Oh�� She felt so foolish. //Why was he making me so nervous?// The other girls giggled as they watched her trip and slip her way out to the garden with Malachite�s aid. Finally, he decided to just pick her up and carry her out. �Wow, I�ve never seen Ami so clumsy before.� Rei observed. �I�ve seen much worse.� Jedite�s smooth voice floated to her. She turned to him, only to receive the fiery glance she had given to her returned. �It�s a bit crowded in here don�t you agree, princess?� She nodded. �Perhaps you would like to get some fresh air.� �I would love to.� She looked at Serenity for approval, and received it. Unlike Ami, she waited till she felt the chair being moved, then stood up, hooking Jedite�s arm, and walked out into the garden gracefully �How romantic..� Lita mused. �Great, she�s spacing again.� Mina said to no one in particular. �I�d have to agree with her.� Zoicite�s voice sang. Mina immediately snapped her focus on the most beautiful man she had ever seen. �Would you care to join me, pretty princess?� Her cheeks flushed red as she nodded. Queen Beryl was getting quite upset. Serenity came to find a husband to bind the two kingdoms, and she was running out of sons. This time Mina didn�t bother asking. She stood up, her eyes locked on her prize, and they met at the exit. Serenity looked over at Fiore. �Fiore�perhaps you can give me a tour of the garden as well.� �It would be my pleasure, Princess Serenity.� He said as eh got her chair and helped her to stand, leading her out. Darien looked at Dinah. �That sounds like a good idea. Can you show me where the roses are?� Dinah nodded. Darien stood and led her out. �I�m going to bed, mother.� Neflyte said standing up. He started to walk out, and was quickly followed by Lita. She stopped him in the hall. �Can you show me where my room is? It�s my first day in the castle and I wasn�t paying attention on the way here.� �Sure, why the hell not?� She latched onto his arm and they continued down the hall. |
