Festival of Kuan Yin
(April 5th)
Each year on this day (April 5th), the Chinese Goddess of Healing, Mercy, Compassion and Forgiveness, Kuan Yin, is invoked during the Festival Of Kuan Yin  for protection, love, mercy, and wisdom.
Incense and violet coloured candles are placed as offerings on her altar, along side rolled pieces or rice paper upon which the wishes of worshippers have been written.  (I'm sure a nice parchment will do just as nicely ).

Incenses to use either Lotus or Amber.

Festival of Kuan Yin Ritual
by Isisdownunder

Prepare your altar, with a picture or statue of Kuan Yin, Incense and Violet Candles.
Write your wishes on the parchment or rice paper and roll them nicely into a scroll.  Place the scrolls upon your altar.
Light the Insence and Candles and repeat the following:-

"Kuan Yin,
You are eternal, blissful, aware
Come to me now, comfort despair,
Beyond hope, beyond sickness
So full of fears
Come to me now
Fill my heart
Take away my tears.
My Goddess
My Sister
My Advocate
My Friend
Your name insurmountable
Mercy, Compassion,
Descend and be with me now
Blessed Kuan Shih Yin."

Meditate now and feel her very presence.
No need to mention your wishes on the rolled parchment, for she has already seen them.

When you have finished meditating thank Kuan Yin for her presence today and in your life.
