Isil Toksoz started her piano studies at the age of 6 by private lessons. In 1989, she entered Istanbul University State Conservatory where she studied Piano with Dr. Sibel Atal and Solfeggio & Music Theory with Prof. Emel Celebioglu till 1996.
At the age of 13, she performed her first public recital at the prestigious "The Palais Yenikoy " ie. Austrian Culture Institute Concert Hall in Istanbul.
Right after the recital she was sent to Vienna for an audition and she successfully gained entrance to the Vienna Conservatory being the youngest student from Turkey ever to be admitted to this school.
Leaving her formal studies at the most acclaimed Istanbul German High School, she went to Vienna and enrolled at the Conservatory to continue her music studies.
When she was 15 years old she perfomed her first Orchestra Concert with the Vienna Conservatory Youth Orchestra.
She graduated from the Vienna Conservatory where she studied with the following teachers:
Prof. Roland Batik
Prof. Julika Behar,
She also studied with;
Prof. Paul Gulda &
Prof. Leonid Brumberg.
In addition to above, she studied Chamber Music with the renowned Altenberg Trio.
