In my mind our society as a whole should organize tribaly and here's why. The system we come from is a system rooted in clans based upon creed. Clans grew into fiefdoms and feudalism spawned some really aweful shit. Monarchies. Capitalism. Trade deficits and imperialsm. Tribes too were precursors to empires such as the Mayan and Olmec aristocracies. However, when the people realized that imperialism was wonky they walked away and recongregated into their previous tribes which, I guess turned out to be a far superior strata. Until the conquistadors invaded, that is.

Until Hegelian philosophy and Karl Marx did commentary on the warrior clans, which by this point had morphed into capitalism, did people start to realize their mistake. And bourgoisie communism as seen in Cuba, China, North Korea and the former Soviet Union is no substitute either. What we need to consider is tribalism based upon shared value rather than creed. Chiefs would organize to in the governor's hall and the governors would organize in the patrician (a sort of president, prime minister, king, sultan, type of guy)/ matrician (the same thing except female) hall. We would have a sort of co-presidency like the pharoahs with a male/ female team. All positions would be elected rather than inherited through heredity.

This is a combination between three political structures I like- tribal, republican, and that of the pharoahs. In this way we could have tribes, townships, a city-state, nations, and my favorite part, a cooperative commonwealth. Tribes could live anywhere in the realm. A city-state would be something like Seattle. And Washington, Oregon, and Idaho could form a nation. Call it The Great Northwest. Whatever. I propose renaming the United States (in league with Canada and Mexico) The North American Cooperative Commonwealth. In terms of cities, councils would compose of the tribal chiefs and various trade guild leaders of that particular region. Nations would have a similar approach. Except that instead of the governor hearing the grievances of the chiefs and trade guilds (cooperatives) in the city-state governors would go to the capital have their grivances airied with the guild alliances (coalitions) by the the patrician and matrician of each particular nation, who I reiterate, are elected. Arbiters (pooled from the patricians) from The United States, Canada, and Mexico would convene in The Great Hall with a cabinet at Commonwealth Central with one VIP per annum. Six total arbiters with one per annum electorate. Seven total arbiters.

These entities could form loose city councils and parliaments. Through the advent and use of the internet this could all be done virtually, so no one would physically have to travel anywhere and tend to their own internal affairs. That of their own tribe. As for a judicial branch, instead of philopher kings, we do this (since they have the best ideas anyway) gather the land's best comics, comedians, and humorists in the land and take the top thirteen and ordain them. Media will remain in the control by the media barons. Except that the huge powerhouses like Viacomm and the rest would be run like cooperatives. Worker control. However one channel per city state will be completely public access so every nut and crank has the opportunity to mouth off about whatever they fucking like, all funded by the Commonwealth Government. They foot the bill, we get the spill. And as for the military, all defensive operations would be volunteer only, but one half of all offensive forces would be supplied with the craziest inmates in the penetentiary system. And we eliminate the draft entirely. Get rid of it. As for religion, either allow women and homosexuals equal participation or they'll have to set up shop on someone else's shore.
