Sadd Batters
Up

Madd Batters was an orphaned team from its inception.   For reasons unknown, the team was formed and left alone.  Most likely, the original owner did not like their draft results.  The team languished during the 2000 Season of the Interstate League.  This team was near the bottom in every offensive category.  It was through the strength of its bullpen that the team finished with 95 roto-points, 12 points ahead of the dead-last MANTO’s.

During the off-season, a Franklin Furnace, Ohio businessman, who enjoyed being challenged, acquired the franchise.

The 2001 Regular Season was a trying one for the Batters, hence, the mid-season name change to Sadd Batters.  The team ended the Regular Season in tenth place (169-208-41, .453 pct.)  However, the team was able to shore up their anemic offense with the likes of Jorge Posada, Rafael Palmeiro, Lance Berkman, and Adam Dunn.

Rome was not built in a day.
