PREDATORS
Up

In Da Woods?  With a manger/owner named R.B. Woody, what is one to expect?  A team lost in the woods, a 12th place team in a 14-team league.  In 2000, the team barely scored over a hundred roto points (100.5) in the mid-season league.

During the 2001 pre-season, an individual from Ritzville, Washington, acquired the franchise and promptly got them out of the woods, the PREDATORS were reborn.  Their first off-season move was to trade Alex Rodriguez to the Mudville 9 for the first pick of the draft.  Mike Piazza was that pick.  They also had the third pick of the draft, Barry Bonds.  No one predicted the year that Mr. Bonds would have.

This is a franchise that is rebuilding.  Although, they ended the 2001 Regular Season in 7th place (182-200-36, .478 pct.), they dominated the Consolation Bracket of the Post-Season.  This may be a sign of things to come.

This ownership is not afraid to take risks.  They signed two injured, former superstars, Mo Vaughn and Frank Thomas through the 2002 Season.  Expect this team to be very active during this pre-season.
